Hi, I've just finished the second grass cut of the year on the farm on the western shore that i bought in the beginning of this year. To be honest the quality and yield was again a bit disappointing. I am looking for a roller and a chain harrow to try and improve the yield. It is a lot of extra work, but i hope it will be worth it. My local dealership had a Grays 3 meter roller and a 5 meter chain harrow a couple of weeks ago, both second hand, but unfortunately they were sold. Any chance you have something in stock? they asked 5100 pounds for the roller and 1500 for the chain harrow. Picking up my "new" equipment from the local dealership where they were delivered. I might have to look into getting a trailer like that when i have the funds available. I don't think people around here would appreciate me towing that roller over the road. I also have some action shots.
running the roller over the grass after i cut it. and the roller after i spread some compost on the field

I am glad it arrived and is being put to good use!
Side note - how is that roller? it gives fert stages on grass? how about with PF?

I somehow missed that part.. I spent the day yesterday braving minus temps very painfully wiggling thru the crawlspace under my house trying to figure out how in the hell my pipes could freeze well below ground and attempting unsuccessfully to thaw them.. today I am hopped up on morphine, OxyCODONE and some edibles I got from the shop down the road and uh... yea.. u could probably post screenshots from fs09 and I would spend half an hour trying to figure out what was "off"

yeah take care Jessi. It is indeed fs17. it gives a fertilizing state and it also sets the growth stage back to the first. I use it just for role play though, i already fertilize it to the maximum and just use it as an extra step. that is also they way i use the chain harrow.

yea thats kinda what I would do in 17.. I would roll my grass fields and meadows every few years.. except I would take the fert state from it.. I would only do it every so often and I figure the improvement to the soil from the roller justified the free fert every few years.. I was honestly confused cause I didn't think rollers worked like that in 19 lol
Thanks for the general thoughts everyone.. yea getting under there yesterday was a mistake.. I did a real number on myself.. but.. have u ever tried getting an unskilled 16 year old boy to figure out anything plumbing related!? ha.. might be easier to teach a frog to fly..
As to the plumbing itself.. its a real head scratcher.. everything seems to be in order.. pipes r heat tapped and insulated.. nothing is frozen.. for good measure I even ran my heat lamps down there for a few hours yesterday just to make sure and nothing.. nothing is busted.. no mystery water and a phone call to the office indicates that our meter isn't running so we aren't losing water anywhere.. I am at a loss here and may, unfortunately, have to get some sorry fool.. I mean a professional.. out here to freeze in this weather to figure this out.. with snow on the ground and falling and an outside temp of zero degrees F with sub zero wind chills, yea this is gonna be a smidgen expensive...

Sure no valves got shut off? Filters? Under cabinet plumbing? And definitely take care, we don’t need both of the salespeople on more meds seeing as I think both you and Bryan already seem to be slipping up... lol =)

the valves r all open and we had our filtration installed in our water closet with the heater which is also a heated room and isn't due to be serviced for another 4 months
