Hi, i have a question for you. Recently i have taken on a contract for 200.000 liters of wheat. It was a great deal so i couldn't say no to it, but it is almost a bit more than my farm can handle. My current grain trailer is only about 10.000 liters. seeing that the closest grain elevator is quite a distance from my farm and that the weather here in Germany is quite unpredictable i am looking for a more efficient way to move the grain when it is time to harvest.
The thing is though i have had to invest in other area's as well because of this contract so i don't have the funds to buy this these trailers, and i am not to keen to take on an even bigger loan. Also in other years i don't have much need for a trailer this size since the harvest period is a bit more spread out when i grow the variety of crops i usually do instead of just wheat.
All this being said, my question is would it be possible to rent this trailer for a couple of weeks around harvest time if you haven't had any potential buyers by then? I understand there will be some shipping costs, but since i haven't been able to find a place where i can rent one locally i am willing to pay those costs. I don't have a truck to tow them either, but i did find a company where i can rent one for a great price. They are called community trader renting and leasing i believe. i've done business with them before and i highly recommend them!

Tell you what I'll do, you handle transport costs, and for a rental fee I'll charge you 1 cent per liter hauled, that comes out to $2,000 on 200,000L hauled. If that sounds fair, let me know the approximate dates you'll need them.

If you would like to buy them, I'd also be open to sending them to you and you can just pay me when you settle up your contract.

That sounds like a great deal. I also very much appreciate the offer to buy them and pay when i fulfill the contract, but i think the renting option is better for my farm at the moment. The rental fee is also great. The weather forecast isn't great the next 1,5/2 weeks, but after that it is looking better, so i hope i can start the harvest fairly soon after that but it is all still a bit unpredictable. When i get closer to harvest time and i can tell specific dates i'll let you know.
If you get an offer from someone else in the meantime to purchase the trailers you should take it of course.

Hi, the weather forecast has changed a lot, so i should be able to start harvesting sooner than planned. Somewhere in the next few days i should be able to start, so if you can send them over that would be great.
I'll transfer $2000 to you'r account. Depending on the amount of crop i actually harvest and the deal we made that i pay per hauled liter you might well receive some additional funds afterwards. the transport costs i'll pay directly to the transport company if i recall correctly.

Indeed. I'll have a driver take them out to the port in the morning, you should have them in a few days.

I have just delivered the trailer to the local dealership that will arrange shipping back to you. transport fees have all been payed. I am also transferring another $1300,- to you because i helped a local farmer out transporting 90.000 liters of rye and 30.000 liters of canola for him with your trailers.
Thanks for loaning your trailers, they were of great help during harvest!
