I have been visiting my dad in hospital every other day. I spent most of September at home. I did fly to Elmcreek to see Their Annual Agriculture fair, Then new John Deere tractors looking stunning and the x9 combine.
October was a busy harvest month I managed to harvest all the soybean fields (96 30,723, 98 39,033) and one corn field 95 which I got 70,374L, I nearly forgot IK have a Challenger on demo for Fall and early Spring. My local dealer lent me another killbros gravity wagon unfortunately my gravity wagon broke its front axle but the dealer was nice enough to lend me a j&m Gravity wagon which my combine auger just manages to go over.

First thing I did was sell two Barrels of Spicy Water then I managed to bale up the oat straw while a Local woodworking company installed two bale sheds. Then I mowed my grass pasture for first cut hay then I went seed and lime shopping while the local precision farming contractor soil tested my harvested fields.
Well another spicy water run successful, I then spread lime on field 5 and 7 to lower the ph. I went on to plough and seed Barley in both fields. I had some spare time so I helped a neighbour in harvesting their sunflowers.
Post by thefisherj on Sept 7, 2022 15:58:41 GMT -6

December January and February
Well it was nice getting a call from an online dealer offering a demo tractor and fall tillage but unfortunately the weather forecast doesn't look good. I did though managed to cultivate field 8 and half of field 6 before the snow fell about the correct time to sell off 11,411L of oats for $7,176. January was the same snow storm after snow storm, in-between the snow storms I managed to sell the remaining corn for $29,991 and I bought 100 adult chickens and a Rooster for $1,505. February rolled in started off being cold and snowing then became mild before snowing yet again while I sell off 17,000L of Sunflowers for $14,514. Did have the soil testing company out to test Field 6

Well I managed to finish off the cultivation on field 6 and lime both field 6 and 8. I sold the first pallet off eggs for $1,658. I have also taken a contract with a farmer in Bloomfield Canada to help him do his contracting business when I'm not busy on my farm. The deal is I get 20% of the contract income I ended up cultivating Anhydrous ammonia in one of his two fields before cultivating 2 neighbouring farmers field. This month I got $7,146. I have been contacted by the online dealer again and I have a nice New Holland T6.175 and Kinzie 3600 Planter on Demo.

Well the demo tractor and planter has arrived, I went an bought the seed and fertiliser I need for Field 6 (Soybeans) and Field 8 (corn). Unfortunately the grass field wasn't ready to mow for first cut silage. The tractor was nice and comfortable and was nice to have gps as well but with the budget so tight its going to be a while before we can afford a nice new tractor of any brand. I had to pop down to the local dealer to pick up some chicken feed and saw and bought something that wasn't to be missed. I will collect it next month after the local dealer services it. Well it was time to head to Bloomfield to help with their soybean planting and help do some contract planting and fertilising for $9,890.

Well I bought a used John Deere 7810 with the firewater money will be keeping it out of sight from the current owners for now. Straight away it went on the mower to cut first cut silage and I got carried away and forgot to send the drone up to catch the tractor at picking up the grass windrows. I then went to Bloomfield to drive their Kenworth truck while they do contract harvests.

Well not much doing, I helped our local neighbour harvest 3 fields of barley which he let me have 14,000L along with paying me $14,875. I sold another pallet of eggs for $2,429. I had a call from Bloomfield that there's nothing to do up in Canada so spent the last 2 weeks Chilling in the house looking how the farm is going along and what needs improving
well I managed to harvest barley in field 5 and 7 got 34,109L from field 5 and 40,134L from field 7 and between both fields I got 420 small square straw bales. after my harvest is complete I went to Bloomfield farm to help their custom harvesting by driving their lorry again, then cultivate a field for them while they went out planting winter oats. Well the bell rings for this financial year.
Post by thefisherj on Oct 15, 2022 12:43:44 GMT -6
Well, the finance sheets are completed for last year, total money spent was $89,253 and total money income was $125,384 with a profit margin of $36,131. With the 60% ($21,678) of the profit going to the owners and 40% ($14,453) to me. I borrowed a neighbour's truck and livestock trailer to bring in 12 new brown-swiss cows for $13,200. I then went on cut second cut hay which I sold straight to the livestock auction for a total $10,784. I helped cart for another neighbour farm harvest which he gave me $15k then I went to Canada to do the same. Next month there will be a big project that improves the farm massively.

Well I can now tell you we have expanded the farm with a new barn and a used workshop and two old grain bins. I then went on to help Bloomfield farm again for $18,388 which should pay for the grain Augars for the new to me grain bins.

Well, it's been a busy month I harvested soybeans in field 6 which yielded 15,013L I then cultivated field 6, 5 and 7. Planted wheat in field 6 and trying a new method of fertilising the next years corn field with a cover crop in field 5. I then went to Bloomfield to drive their lorry for them awith their soybean harvest and few custom harvests.
Well i managed to harvest my last field (8) which was corn I got 50,027L, i put another 12,000L to make more fire water. I then did a third cut silage before driving up to bloomfield which will be the last time as their youngest cousin has finished University and now wants to help so they no longer need me so i will have to find another source of income to replace this one.
