So one of the big problems I have is.. idk what kinds of stuff people like.. I mean.. there are the usual items that go pretty quick like the JD and Krone balers.. but other items never get more than the initial looks after I post it and it makes me think I am out of touch with what people want, especially in terms of tools.. Thing about me is.. I am good with most of the in game stuff.. in fact, the only things I find myself downloading are old tractors and really small machines.. things like that.. and some buildings and scripted mods of course.. but for the part of most cultivators, plows, things like that.. I usually just use the in game stuff if it fits my farm size.. so it kind of leaves me clueless.. I am like "oh that looks neat, I would have that on my farm" but this doesnt seem to be a shared sentiment lol So what do you guys like to use? Plows, tippers.. stuff like that.. this could be an interesting conversation and a way for me to help get better listings for everyone.. I need to understand the "market"

I usually buy stuff and then only upgrade as needed or as desired. For me I like to hold on to things. You've got a good idea here with the demos and then re-selling them as used later. Tough market due to the varied demographic and play styles (big farm vs. small farm, Europe vs. North America, etc). It kind of reminds me of the in-game sales that were available in FS15. I always ended up with potato processing equipment on sale or a size of equipment / vendor that I didn't want or need.
I am throwing an idea or two out there as the existing idea could be modified.
1 - Don't get rid of the demo program. I think the idea is excellent.
2 - If there is no interest within X days - ie: the Haulmaster Auger cart that only one individual used then "wholesale" that piece of equipment to another dealer, vendor, etc. Whatever keeps the roleplay up. This assumes that it is in your inventory or it could be more like point #3.
3 - You could implement a dealer days or implement days. Format would be: New Holland is onsite and we have a week to demo unit X, Y and Z. After a week they are traveling to the next dealer in the chain.

Ok, I have been thinking about this one.. so rotating stuff out is a good idea.. but for things that have been leased even 1 time, I will figure out if its something I can use on the production yard.. if so, I will add the appropriate hours and list it as used on the sales floor.. one of the reasons for doing the demos is to add some really nice used listings to the sales floor.. the other is to give even smaller farms the chance to use stuff they might otherwise not, just for kicks if for no other reason lol I just need ideas, which I believe we are going to discuss an idea for ideas in another thread
