As we move forward here at Community Trader, I would like a little input from you the membership. I'm going to start doing more demos and having more frequent sales, so what I want to know is this;
What kinds of equipment would you like to see demo'd?
When it comes to sales, do you prefer them by category, by brand, or a mix?
What would you think of unannounced surprise one day sales?
And lastly, is there anything you'd like to see added here?
Please let me know what you all think.

I think tractors are the best to demo as they can be used by everyone no matter what season and i also like sales by catagory

Equipment to be demo'd should offer by the dealership to the customers to help with there task at hand as thats how it done near me.
Sales should be a mix no matter what as not everyone is going to want the same machine as the person ahead of them.
Unannounced sales would be a good thing as someone could be looking for something and it comes up on a unplanned sale.
I would like to see like a bidding area for auctions on equipment and land if at all possible.

A mix of sales would be great. Nice to see brand or even flash sales sometimes. As for demo/rental Combines and beet/potato harvesters might be a good idea since the decent ones are so pricey in game.

Thats a good point maybe equipment rental could be something for on here but with more realistic prices compared to leasing in game

So I mulled over this one for a while, and here's what I've come up with, With respect to coming to help on a demo, the logistics of that due to cross platforming could get challenging. The next best option I could think of is when you have a demo, hire a worker, track the wages that are paid and cheat the money back in to your account. Would that work for your idea? As far as auctions go, we have an auction area built into the boards already, but as I read the info on it, it's up to the individual farmers to request an auction. If you have ideas on how we can better promote the auctions section, please feel free to bring them up. I appreciate your input!

OutlawFarms so what, the farmer comes in and asks for something to help and the dealership is just like "here, I got you fam"? How do they know the farmer needs help? I don't get it... edit.. honestly.. I really never have given this any thought.. I know its to promote things but.. how do they decide who they are just gonna loan a $300,000+ machine to.. I know its a real thing but.. it just seems odd to me

Usually you get a set amount of hours as well then if you go over you pay per hour rent.

So a question about the new used lot,
Would you prefer to keep it as is, broken apart into general categories, or detailed categories, like the private listings?
Alright, let's make this interesting.
First one to respond to this question gets one FREE upgrade, PLUS 5% off one (1) item on their next order from the dealership.

I like it the way it is, no need for lots of sub categories IMO

I only know the demo payments for construction equipment. Therefor there may be a difference in the prices paid.

Here in the uk when we go to be the dealers christmas open day which gives us information on any new products and more importantly a ticket for the hog roast. In the back they have a list of products which will be available to demo in the next year which normally includes a few tractors a telehandler and normally between 5 and 8 implement. They dont have a problem with the demos i think as most of the sales rep have been to the farms at some point and know the customers well so there is a good trust there. I should mention the dealer is john deere

I don't like more categories.. It gets harder to track things and things get much harder for me to do things on the back end.. We started off with 1 big list... People didn't favor thats so we made a category for everything.. In the end moderate consolidation won out and it's a trend I wanna stick with for now.. I don't wanna make things more complex until I'm up and running.. Then I got ideas lol.. Tyler had a good idea a few comments back that I like about an Xbox club.. Does anyone know if it's a thing on PS as well?

So I've noticed that we're in a slump again with traffic volumes on the site. I am curious to know if this is due to RL farmers being busy with harvest, other RL contributing factors, if folks just aren't playing as much as the used to/normally do, or if there's something that I personally have or have not done to keep the interest going? I'm constantly looking for ways to improve, so if I need to make changes, please don't hesitate to offer suggestions.
On another note, I'm considering revamping the the rental and lease systems by simplifying them a bit. What would you all think about eliminating the deposits on rentals and going to a straight per hour use fee? Maybe even getting rid of the delivery charges? And for the leasing program, a basic monthly charge and again, eliminating deposits?
Please share your thoughts on any of this below. Thanks.

I think you are doing great. Still enjoying the site immensely. Jessi and yourself have done great things creating this friendly community of like minded passionate people. Slump in traffic as you suggest is most likely a number of factors, RL farming, work, playing other new releases (my affair is with Snowrunner) and I'm sure there are many more. I don't believe it is anything you are doing wrong just as with everything there are ups and downs.
As for your ideas I think anything to simplify transactions along the lines of what you said is good. Keep up the good workđź‘Ť
