A friendly reminder / request

(If you really don't want to listen to an over medicated lady ramble on in a wall of text, scroll down to paragraph 8 to see my actual request)
Hey everyone. I am home at my computer where I am happy... BUT.. we know that wont be the case consistently for some time and even at that I may not be willing to sit here often and certainly not for long periods of time for awhile still.. Which brings me to the point of this.. Bryan.. He is doing a smashing job.. Absolutely awesome.. He has worked really hard to breath life into the place and its paying off.. Our traffic is increasing back to the numbers we had before I got sick. He is just.. yea.. Thanks Bryan83 !
Now let me throw in an unexpected plot twist some of you may or may not know.. Everything he has done... Has been done from a... wait for it....... CONSOLE... So is that a bad thing!? No absolutely not.. Honestly its rather impressive.. He is putting in a very impressive attempt at doing what I was doing on a dual monitor 8core computer with 32gigs of memory and enough storage space for 2tb worth of mods floating around on a ssd.. he is using his console, his phone and some sort of personal computer but I know he plays the game on console.. He doesnt even have access to all the mods yet and has to deal with things like mod storage limits and slot counts but he is still out here chugging away at it.. I couldnt imagine doing this consistently on anything other than my desktop.. I would go crazy lol.. So hats off...
So that leads me to a request.. Until I can be here to reliably help (I promise I am going to come back stronger than ever!!!) would you guys be willing to go the extra mile for Bryan? He hasn't complained about anything.. Its just some observations I have made and also understanding his limitations as far as access and space.. I can give you a giant example.
He has limited mod space. One limitation of his way is his storage limit.. If memory serves its like 4gig. The mod folder I have loaded into the game is my personal play through which is one small map and other mods and I am eating up 11.3 gigs of space.. My dealership mod folder makes my game start slower lol.. I have hundreds of mods in a folder with no errors and need to add a ton.. then others that dont play well are stored in their own folder to be loaded up alone if ever needed.. Now imagine if I had to do everything I was doing at the scale I was doing it with only 4gigs of mod storage.. It would be impossible.. I would spend more time waiting on my machine to download and delete mods than I would anything else.
But theres other stuff too.. like the inability to do all the work at a single machine and multitask.. He has to use 2-3 machines to do what I effortless do across 2 monitors on a single device and I have enough power to have like.. EVERYTHING going on.. He doesnt have that.. he has to go back and forth.
He doesnt have access to all the mods... certainly no pc exclusive mods and 3rd party mods are completely out of the question so unless you go the extra mile he cant help with any pc stuff at all..
If I wanted I could easily list a few more huge disadvantages to running this forum the way he has been.. But I think we get the idea.. Playing the game on console is fine.. Still an enjoyable game.. But running this forum for the game on a console.. well thats where things are gonna stop being so fun for him after a bit.. Its going to become a significant amount of work.. But we want him having fun.. So how do we make that happen?? Thats what we have been waiting for.. "Just shut up and tell us already.. jeez Jessi, you do this every time.. drama queen".. so without further delay (btw, blame the entire wall of text on the medicine as the whole thing could have been summed up by asking you this one lil favor lolol)
When you do business with the dealership, until I am back fully on board, the one thing that you can absolutely do that will save bryan everything.. time, space, work, sanity, time.... is..... when buying or selling anything.. include all the info.. lets be honest.. if you want to buy something.. you already have it downloaded.. there really is no extra work on that part.. on here just include the important stuff.. even when selling.. same thing.. he may not have the mod downloaded.. has no clue its worth or specs or anything.. we can wing our own prices at you if we know the base price.. I honestly just make most of it up as I go along lol.. But in order to do that I need to know what I am dealing with.. "oh so this is an old tractor that was 120k new.. Ill give 55k for it now".. idk what its worth.. but i know its an old tractor.. and 55k is way better than 120k.. So if i want i can just use that.. for no reason other than.. I can.. Honestly I usually use the easy dev mod to add hours and wear and then calculate the worth through the in game dealership.. he cant do that.. so.. just include things.. help him out.. if you do he will be able to more easily and effectively help all of you and may actually keep his insanity and stay with us
So in short.. help him with that one thing.. give him your specs and price of items for sale or being purchased keeping him from having to rotate so many mods out on his console or even start his console.. and in the end it will help his performance and ensure that he enjoys doing this for some time to come..
