Yep the title is dramatic.. for a reason I guess.. Because its a problem that bothers me in terms of realism and what I do on this forum.. I used my dual monitors to do a perfect side by side.. on the left is the JD website where I can build my own 5075E utility tractor.. on the left is in-game where I can build this 5075E utility tractor. The price difference is....... extreme.. So my problem.. when I list things.. both in-game and mod stuffs, do you all want me to use the in-game price as the base or do we want the real price (or as close as I can get) for our base? EDIT - I realize the price may be hard to see.. the RL price of the 5075E is $29,804.00 with no options.. the game one is $100,000 with no options.

Jessi, the Deere website is second Gen 5075E and the mod is a first Gen which is discontinued. And for Deere website pricing subtract 10-15% off of it as MSRP and actual sale price differ by about that.

I kinda figured it wasn't the exact model.. it was a very quick search for a "new" 5075E to see how far off the mark the price is and... MSRP, discontinued and any other hidden sur charges wouldnt account for a $70,000 difference.. Like I said, as close as I can get to the actual value.. wont always be exact as I have no desire to become a "tractor researcher" lol but I can at least get us in the ballpark? or just leave well enough alone and over pay $70,000 for a small tractor because honestly, its the easy option?

thing is.. I dont mind doing a bit of work for the sake or realism.. if I was scared of a bit of pc work, creating this forum was a TERRIBLE idea lolol.. but.. I am only willing to go so much into that side of it.. it takes time for me to do the listings.. which is fine.. even with a bit of research to see if I am in the neighborhood with pricing isn't too much.. but I cannot afford the time to research each and every exact model and all that.. I am not a tractor expert.. For the most part, I couldn't tell you the difference in an american JD and its EU cousin.. honestly dont care.. thats not why I play personally.. but if I try to be HYPER detailed and realistic about this, it will mean a lot less listings from me in the long run for a tiny bit of extra that ultimately has no effect on our gameplay (its not like we have the non discontinued model at our fingertips to choose from) and based on the general consensus, people really really want me to start listing lots more stuff like I used to before I got sick.. So in the end its a choice.. do I put in the work and if so how much.. my vote is yes to the work but as to how much, enough to get us into a realistic ballpark for the stuff we are dealing with instead of the often completely wild prices suggested for some of this stuff

This is a tricky point.personally i think the base game pricing is just fine. I mean if you are going to change the price of the tractors to the absolute realistic amount shouldn't you also change the prices you get for your crops and other stuff otherwise you ruin the balance. Mods is a different story of course since they are often so obviously wrong. sometimes way to cheap and sometimes way to expensive.
what i do for myself with mods when it is obviously wrong is just compare it to base game stuff. This mod you listed for example its a older model, from this one picture hard to tell but maybe a bit comparable in size to the fiat. half the hp, no cab just the roof. I would have probably charged 35000 or something like that. Is it perfect? no but it is not that much work as doing all this research and it works for me.

We also have to remember that modders come from all over the world and that what a tractor costs in St. Louis, MO, USA, may not be the price in Tokyo, Chiba Perfecture, Japan. Also that modders are probably using the currency of their home country versus the Euro or US Dollar and that the game has no mechanic or algorithm to adjust for currency conversion. Some who are not tractor experts may be "winging" the prices altogether.

thing is I am finding about most of the in-game stuff is its in the ballpark overall.. Giants mostly did a really good job of making sure their newer (model year) models reflect their real prices.. and the same can be said of a lot of modders.. they take the time to research their projects and try to get their price to reflect reality to some degree dependent on factors like geography, availability, so on and so forth.. but some of this stuff is just wild.. I am going back to my example above.. I can't sell that from the dealership.. why!? because I would NEVER buy it.. not for the price.. 100k for the base model? when its not worth more than 30k kitted irl?? yea no thanks.. so I really only have 2 choices.. try to make sure these things are in line with real prices.. I want to note that this includes trying to find information relevant to where the tractor is most likely used and available in the world.. or.. I just don't sell things that are way off base.. either way I would never irl or in-game try to sell someone a 75hp tractor for 100k.. srry not srry

Not paying 100k for a 75hp tractor that’s been discontinued for the last 7-8yrs is hard to blame you lol. That’s a nice 100hp loaded cab Deere not an OOS 75hp economy model.
If you ever need pricing help just PM me, I’m not sure whether tractors and internet scouring stuff about them is a hobby or an addiction. lol
