So I have arrived at Eureka Farms. Have $2,738,00. My Roadrunner PJ Special, matching purple Randon trailer, Big Buddy 450 (which had a brief stop at Bryan's shop to sort out the blinker fluid) and a newly acquired caravan which I found for sale on the way and decided it was a great buy at $12,000. Farmers need to sleep somewhere. Now to find myself a nice bit of land. There is a large farm next to the shop but it looks like not much is happening there, might be able to make an offer but it looks too expensive for me. Might find somewhere to set up the van and have a drive around to see what I can find.

ibb.co/gDxVMmT Well the lovely couple that own this farm Tony N Tina Moddino say they haven't farmed the land for some time however Tony was quite a customisation whizz back in the day. Showed me around some of his machine sheds and boy is his stuff impressive, never seen anything like it before. They have offered to let me set up the van on their property and if I want Tony will let me try some of his gear on the field they own. Tony also hinted toward leasing the farm to me, but first I'm just happy to see how things work around here.

Ok well I love this place and what Tony can do with machinery amazes me. I decided to jump in and make an offer on the farmyard, machinery and field. Offered $2million. After talking it over with his wife Tony agreed on 2 conditions. First they keep the house and some surrounding land. Second Tony wants to help with any customisation of machinery and do the occasional bit of field work. Sounded like a great deal to me so signed off and parted with the $2mil.
Time to get to work!

Oh yeah, bought another field. Needed some tillage so jumped online to FScommunitytrader, now got a nice JD plow and Disc combo. Tony has a "borrowed" Stara Imperador that does everything. Said he got it from a crazy bearded Englishman who is around these parts. Got to get to work in the fields before he notices I'm running hrs up on it. 2 weeks in and not much rest, plan to have a wheat crop in both fields by the end of the month. So hopefully I can put my feet up before summer.

Rainy May morning in my new house, well a few shipping containers. I like it and I have a nice view of my wheat growing. ibb.co/nBfqrNC Since it's raining I'm firing up the Princess then hitting the road to go see DEERE317 and drop off his GreatPlains ibb.co/MR3wGft Picked up a few sowing contracts last month so made a bit of money off those, as usual I spent a fair chunk, container house was about $10k then made an impulse purchase of $50k on a MissyB Manufacturing Liquid Storage facility to store anyliquid I may have. Got sick of looking at the empty chicken pen and cow pasture, have no feed for cows so decided to purchase 100 Rhode island reds and a few roosters. Soon I will have farm fresh eggs for breakfast and roast chicken for dinner. Currently have around $100k left, jeez $2.75 million doesn't go very far these days.

Ahhh, I was wanting to get rid of my Great Plains, I wanted to keep the Condor. Miscommunication at its finest, I'm nearly at your farm now. Want it anyway? It's free, at that price I'm sure you can mark it up a little and sell it on.

Well it's now July and feels like a mid summer farmers dream. Have made, and spent, a lot of money using the awesome custom gear Tony creates. From working my own two fields to the work from other locals his creations are worth their salt 110%. What has been going on well... Got the wheat cut and siloed, around 300000-350000L. Sold off some for quick cash and kept 250000L for when the demand increases. Our crop rotation for both field seems to suit wheat, cotton, fallow and repeat so I merged the 2. Got some earthworks done to dig a water store on the high side and run some channels and drain ditches to irrigate the lot. I am hoping this pays off as I am all in now. During wheat harvest I realised I had a fair bit of grass ready to cut and straw to collect. Tapitty tappity tap FScommunitytrader.net to the rescue, now proud owner of a Krone Big M mower and Schuitemaker loading wagon. Got an awesome deal and a 6pack of brews from Bryan. Cheers🍻 Got to mowing, then watching grass dry jumped in the loading wagon and I must say I'm impressed, seem to take next to no time to gather a few million litres of hay and straw.
As I now had some animal feed I decided it's time the cow pasture had something to give it the correct smell. Got the plumber in to hook a pump up for the trough. Phoned local livestock agent and she had 25 each of ayshire and Holstein in the yards she could deliver, sent payment and was here in the hr. Now I have the smell of nature all over me boots. Got the now quite large field dressed with a leased muck chucker and muck supplied by the livestock agent, Miss B at great a price. Tilled/rowed and planted with Cotton, also gave it a coat of pre emptive weed spray so I dont have to worry about the spiky buggers when they grow up.
Books are still floating in the black, mostly so hope it all works out.

Well that's a pleasent surprise. Bryan from the Community Trader contacted me excitedly saying he is sending a cheque for $177,000.. A bit puzzled I asked why? He informed me a benefit auction for me had been held. A beautiful TLX went for $102,000 to DEERE317. There were also donations from fisherj of $50,000 And the Community Trader also threw in an extra $25,000.
I am humbled and don't really know what to say apart from THANK YOU!! to everyone.
Now to decided what to spend it on, Bryan, you better get your order book ready.
