1- The most important thing - BE NICE! This is an all-inclusive group. People of all ages, ethnic background, religion, sexual orientation, gender, socioeconomic status, etc. are welcomed in this group. ANY comments that are racist, sexist, nationalist or anything else that could be received as hate speech will get your comment removed and will likely result in a ban. This forum is not a location. This forum is an idea made possible by a diverse community. Your freedom of speech or lack of, does not apply here. Be proud of who you are but not at the expense of who someone else is!
2- NO MOD REQUESTS! The only exceptions that might be allowed would be a request that would directly impact our ability to roleplay with one another but even that would be better served on Giants Software Forum. If you feel compelled to make a mod suggestion or request pertaining to our roleplaying, it belongs in the Community Suggestions category. If you make a mod request not about roleplaying or make said request ANYWHERE other than the proper location your request WILL be removed, no exceptions.
3- NO RANTING. We are not Giants. We do not work for Giants nor do we impact the development of any of their game titles. We are not making ANY kind of income for our work, it is for fun. This group is merely an extension of the community they have built. If you have complaints, suggestions or otherwise about their game(s), take it up with them in an appropriate spot and manner on Giants Software Forum. Furthermore, any Giants bashing will not be tolerated. This is not the place for that. ANY and all complaints about Giants should be directed to their forum. (this is NOT encouragement or endorsement to go on their forum to bash them or rant at them)
4- NO SPAM. Do not clutter the threads or forum sections with redundant posts/comments. This is not the place for promotions or advertisements. Keep appropriate topics in their designated forum locations.
5- BE SUPPORTIVE. This forum is primarily built for roleplaying. Some folks will want to stay in character while visiting our forum. This is great! Other folks may be shy, not want to or have problems staying in character for their own reasons. This is also great! There is no right or wrong way. Just have fun and support one another. As long as another user is within the rules and guidelines, don't discourage them or pressure them to do something they might not want to do. If a poster is staying in character, while u don't have to stay in character, don't go out of your way to ruin it for them. Comments can be made effectively without ruining their experience. This is supposed to be fun for all of us with no user taking priority over another.
6- VIOLENCE, THREATS OF VIOLENCE, HARRASMENT AND POSTS/COMMENTS THAT PROMOTE, DISPLAY, OR DISCUSS ADULT CONTENT AND/OR BLATANTLY ILLEGAL ACTS (INCLUDING VIOLATIONS OF Giants Terms and Conditions) ARE PROHIBITED. THIS ALSO APPLIES TO USER NAMES AND AVATARS. NO EXCEPTIONS!
7- PLEASE do your best to learn and use the prescribed format given in the Help Section section and on some of the respective Sales areas. This will help ensure we all understand what you are trying to buy or sell and keep our forum a lot cleaner.
8- DO NOT BICKER OR ARGUE WITH OTHER MEMBERS OF THE FORUM. If you have what you feel is a legitimate complaint about another user or post, inform a moderator or admin and request their help in finding a resolution.
9- ALL ITEMS POSTED MUST BE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC. FURTHERMORE, THE MODS USED IN LISTINGS CANNOT BE BEHIND ANY KIND OF PAYWALL (official Giants DLC is ok). ANY LISTINGS THAT ARE IN VIOLATION WILL BE REMOVED. NO EXCEPTIONS!
10- If a user has made a valid offer on an item or product, don't undercut the sale or try to outbid them unless the poster has declined the offer. The only time a competitive approach is permitted is during forum held auctions.
Violations of any of the posted rules can result in posts being edited or removed without notice and further action may be taken against the forum member such as a forum ban and in the case of rule number 6, may result in the proper authorities being notified. Infractions will be handled on a case by case basis by the forum admins and moderators.
If you receive disciplinary action you feel is unwarranted do not argue with the staff member issuing the action. Instead contact another staff member and politely request for the situation to be reviewed.
Keeping the forum clean is a responsibility that falls to each of us. If u see any violations of the posted rules, stop engaging with the person you believe in violation of the forum rules. Promptly report the violation and it will be reviewed and appropriate action taken with no further need for incident.
Last but not least, have fun!
