So I know I have been selling certain items multiple times.. it just makes sense as these items will move quick.. they seem to be our "hot" items.. but we have a bit of capital built up now here at the dealership so I was wondering.. what kinds of stuff should we list? Should we stick with small and mid range stuffs or should I aim a bit bigger? I worry about aiming bigger because if no one buys it, it will sit on the lot with the other stuff no one wants and I will have to build our capital back up with lots of lil stuffs again.. also, if there is something specific you are in the market for, doesn't hurt to mention it... maybe I can find something in the dealership catalog that will make you happy

if I had my way, I would list nothing bigger than small tractors.. but that could be my love for small farming in the game lol

Little bit of this, little bit of that. I think you have done a good job providing variety. I would stick with offering small to mid size from the dealership. Bigger stuff would prob be best as Demo units and sold afterwards for a reduced price like you are doing. Maybe also offer slightly reduced like 5% off on all purchases of corresponding new machines sold throughout duration of demo (as it would be a result of you promoting their brand you would then get a commission say %10) That's my two bobs worth

As you're a dealer, i would suggest that you hunt for a partnership with some manufactures like JD, NH, Claas, MF, Valtra and so on, not as a brand specific dealership, but via a sort of comission? That way you can still deal in used equiptment as you do, and the newbies from time to time, and hopefully you'll get the chanse to sell off their demo equiptment? Then you shouldn't need to bind up mutch money, just a bit of time, and space from time to time. Not sure if i make mutch sence though, even i'm starting to wonder... It worked perfectly well in my mind, but got a bit gibberish finding it's way out

here is another question.. how should I part ways with the sale stuffs that doesn't find a buyer after an auction? I dont know how dealers/manufacturers work irl with this but it doesn't seem legit that I would just send it back.. I mean.. I could just keep it on the lot of course.. but until I get my 2080ti, I run the risk of catching frame rate problems once I cross the threshold of "too much equipment together" and the longer this goes on, the fuller the lot will get..

irl the dealer will not send it back they will have a special deal on that piece of equipment if it wasn't how the one who ordered it wanted it. Now if the dealer has a bunch of new equipment but is not selling like they thought, they would set up special promo for a set time.

that's kinda what i did with the auction.. i listed them with the opening bid being my cost.. i suppose just slashing the price way down and taking the hit is gonna be the way to go on this one.. either way it wont be too bad as we are building capital pretty quick even without any return on those items

of course.. i could always keep them listed and move them to the "warehouse" to keep performance a non issue in case someone still wants this item down the road?

or i could just do like i did last time and list them on the sales floor for some more listings there? but that's more in line for used stuffs and i dont entirely feel like the new dealership stuffs fit.. the demo units i think are a better fit there as they are "used" as will be reflected in the condition and price when they are listed there

so for those that are following this topic, I am going to go with the warehouse idea.. the items will be stored if they dont sell in the auctions.. I will add a warehouse category to keep the new sales listings easier to navigate but it will be unlocked so you can all purchase older dealership listings if you want them.. I hope this is satisfactory for everyone

I think that sticking to small and mid size equipment might be the best way to go as often large scale farms will buy what they need when they need it rather than wait/look for a bargain
